The Joy of Giving
Over the past two weeks, I've witnessed the joy of giving among the children we serve. At C.L.I.M.B., the children enthusiastically made gifts for their parents, teachers, and volunteers. Even the older boys, often resistant to crafting, enjoyed creating something to give.
At the Christmas party hosted with St. Peter’s, the children's delight in selecting and wrapping gifts for their parents was heartwarming. When we give of ourselves - our time, talents, or resources - we participate in God's work on earth. Our gifts, no matter how small, have the power to transform lives, uplift the weary, and spread Christ's love.
As the scriptures reminds us, "it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). This profound truth calls us to embody the joy of giving with grateful hearts. May our gifts, large or small, be a testament to our love for God and our commitment to serving his people. Together, let us be the hands and feet of Christ, bringing hope, healing, and the transformative power of generosity to all we encounter this holiday season and all year long!
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season!
