Hands&Feet: Looking Back at 2021
Dear Friends,
Well, I'm sure we can all agree it's been quite a year! At times uncertain and scary but we never gave up hope and soon found our way to the "new normal" and accomplished so much! I can't tell you how grateful I am for everyone's generosity with your time, talent and monetary support. When I look at all the good St. Andrew's is accomplishing in our community each month it brings tears to my eyes.
Let's look back on just a few of the highlights from the year:
McKinney Little Free Pantry: We repackaged over 250 lbs of rice, 500 lbs of dog food and I lost track on how many diapers and women's hygiene products. Not only are we helping the MLFP but it has been a wonderful time of fellowship during the process.
Samaritan Inn: St Andrew's sponsored 9 lunches and had over 85 volunteers who helped serve. Our Ministry groups gifted 5 expecting mom's with all the new necessities to welcome their newborn child - what a blessing!
Burks Elementary: The school year started with donations for 40 school supply packs so that students started off on the right foot. We supported school events with treats like the fall fair and their career day. The support of St. Andrew's helps beyond the school day - you all provided Thanksgiving meals for 37 families and...you will provide a magical Christmas morning for over 40 families!
These are just a few of the many examples of God's work through our Hands and Feet ministry; we'll highlight a few more below with pictures.
As we close the door to 2021 I am excited about what the new year will hold and what God's plan for us is. We will continue to work with our community partners and look for new ways to build relationships that lead to Christ.
I appreciate all that each of you have given to this ministry over the past year and look forward to serving by your side in the year to come.
Wishing everyone a joyful Christmas season!
Lisa, Hands and Feet Director
