Deacon Randy Nelson with us this Sunday

Dear Friends,

This summer has been filled with exciting opportunities to spend time with our children and families through Vacation Bible School and two weeks of Bible Builder’s camp. Our youth went on a life changing mission trip to help those in need in Western Kentucky. These opportunities allowed the love of Christ to be poured into these children and youth.

There was one other opportunity this summer that will fill my heart with joy for a long time. Over the past year St. Andrew’s poured themselves into the training of Randy Nelson as he traveled the journey to ordination to the Diaconate. Though the journey of ministry continues for Randy, he was in fact ordained to the Diaconate on June 24th at Christ Church Cathedral in Houston. Liz and I were able to carry your love and support with us to the ordination. It was a great day for both Randy and the church.

I am excited to tell you that Deacon Randy will be with us this Sunday serving, for the first time, as Deacon. Though he will only be with us this Sunday, because he has been placed in with a church in Fort Worth, we are excited that he will be here for both the 9:00 and 11:00 services. This will be a joyous occasion to see Deacon Randy in action and to send him off to a new and exciting ministry.

Peace and Grace,
Fr. Logan
