An Invite from Mthr. Paulette to Hidden Springs on Saturday
Hello St. Andrew’s parents, grandparents, and friends of children,
We want to invite and welcome you to the Halloween Walk at Hidden Springs Senior Living. We have put together what we think will be a fun Halloween experience for everyone. Families will gather in the church parking lot at 5:00 pm and under supervision will walk across the street to Hidden Springs front entrance. Please wear masks.
Once inside, the children will be met by a “Ringmaster” (our activity director, Jennifer Lecher) and the Hidden Springs Resident Spider (Mother Paulette). The children (and parents) will be led in a parade through the dining room so that our residents can enjoy seeing them in costume, and then outside to the inner courtyard to begin the Haunted Walk. There is plenty of room for adults as well.
The lighted inner courtyard is completely enclosed and very safe. Themed tables have been set up at intervals with residents and staff in costume (witches, clowns, gypsies, and even a headless horseman!). As the Ringmaster leads the children to each table, a short story will unfold and characters will come to life and hand out treats (all candy has been sorted so there are no nutty types). The group will move around the courtyard with the Ringmaster and wind up under the pergola where they will be offered some healthy treats, and invited to participate in a Monster Mash Dance to wind everything up. The whole event should last about 45 minutes.
We do hope you will bring your children and grandchildren, as well as their friends, and join us for an evening of fun! All are welcome.
