Thanksgiving Blessings: How St. Andrew’s Gives Back and Gathers in Gratitude

Dear Friends,

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, much like it is for many others. As the leaves change color and the temperatures cool, families come together to give thanks for their blessings. Our table is surrounded by family and friends who have become like family to us. We are fortunate that our gathering grows each year, welcoming spouses, partners, grandchildren, and friends!

One cherished tradition we hold is gathering hands and giving thanks to God, after which each person shares what they are most grateful for. The younger adults used to dread this moment when they were children, but now they come prepared and eager to share their thoughts. This openness is truly a wonderful gift!

I could easily write several pages about the many gifts I’m thankful for here at St. Andrew’s. I feel fortunate that my job allows me to witness the incredible work we do for our community. This month, we will support 40 families at Burks Elementary by providing all the fixings for Thanksgiving dinner, along with gift cards for turkeys. Additionally, we will have 86 Christmas Angels from Burks available for adoption on November 10th.

We are a generous group that dedicates our time, treasure, and talents to make a meaningful impact in our community in a caring, loving, and supportive manner. For this, I am truly grateful!

Wishing all of you and your families a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Peace,
Lisa
