St. Andrew's Summer Snack Bag Initiative

Hi Friends,

As summer approaches, I wanted to inform you about a new outreach program for this season. We will be providing snack bags to the children of the Merritt apartment complex every Monday to ensure they have enough food for the week. Since the MISD summer lunch program is uncertain, we, at St. Andrew's, have taken the initiative to address the food insecurity crisis faced by the Merritt children.

Here's how the program works: We will gather at the church every Monday morning at 9 to prepare the snack bags. Afterward, we will distribute them to the children in Merritt. We will receive snack bags from the Community Lifeline Center, but we will also supplement them with additional items to ensure they have an adequate supply for the entire week. This program will start on June 3rd.

How can you contribute? You can sign up to assist with either the preparation of the snack bags, the delivery of the bags, or both! Additionally, you can make a donation to support the purchase of additional items that are needed.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at the church office: 972-548-7990 or via email at lisao@standrewsmckinney.org.

Thank you all for your continued support of our hands and feet ministry! Together we make a difference!

Have a safe and happy summer!

Peace,
Lisa
