Hello from Bible Builders
Dear Friends,
Today was day 4 of our first session of Bible Builders, St. Andrew’s LEGO summer day camp. This year our theme is God of the Mountain, which has involved building scenes and objects surrounding amazing stories of God’s people meeting him at or on top of mountains.
We’ve created Israelite villages from the story of Moses receiving the Ten Commandments. We’ve also built angels like the one that visited Elijah, and we’ve built masks like the one Moses wore after seeing the glory of God. All of this and more has helped kids talk about how God wants to be in their lives, comforts them, and reveals himself to them. All important lessons to learn early and be reminded of our whole life.
This isn’t our only week of Bible Builders. We have two more sessions scheduled. We start session 2 next week, and our third session is the second week of July. So, be in prayer for the kids of this week’s camp as well as the kids to come later in the summer.
I want to share another God moment from this week. Some of you might have noticed that it has been pretty warm (ok, it’s been HOT) in the Great Hall during worship on Sundays. That’s because our A/C unit has been working at a 1/4 of its capacity for the past several months. Well, as of Wednesday this week, the unit has been repaired and our worship space is cooling at full capacity. Thanks be to God!
So, come beat the heat with us this Sunday morning. We can all thank God as one for the glorious work he is doing here at St. Andrew’s.
Peace and Grace,
Fr. Logan
