Regarding the Dedication of Memorial Items
Some people choose to honor a loved one or remember a meaningful occasion by dedicating a specific item or thing. These dedicated items are then either inscribed, embossed, or otherwise given an indicator of who or what the gift commemorates. These dedicated items can range from small objects to large gifts.
Examples of small dedicated items might be a single Book of Common Prayer or Hymnal 1982 for $25 or a chair for worship for $200. An example of a larger item would be a tree on the church property for $1000.
Dedicated items can be many things, and some dedicated items are best decided upon after a conversation with the church office. A dedicated item for the altar, as an example, can be a touching way to honor a loved one.
